Always change your oil every 5000 kilometres or as per manufacturer’s recommendations. Oil is the lifeblood of your engine and key to both lubricating the internal components and keeping them cool. Ensuring the oil in your car meets or exceeds all of the manufacturer’s specifications is also very important. Failure to properly maintain your oil can easily result in expensive damage to your motor.
As you can see above, this motor has had a complete engine failure as a result of the oil not being maintained properly. The orange disc you see is part of the crankshaft and obviously should not be sticking out of the engine!
